I recently read Leo Buscaglia’s quote of “Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.” This is a great description of the CLT Airport Chaplain’s role as they impact the lives of our passengers and employees of the airport community every day.
The chaplains are available 365 days a year to offer non-denominational emotional and spiritual support to the thousands of travelers and employees in our Charlotte Douglas International Airport community. This year alone, our chaplains have led 156 services to nearly 3,058 people while welcoming over 1,700 visitors to the chapel. Our chaplains prayed over hundreds of prayer requests from employees and passengers, while offering nearly 5,228 hours of volunteer time ministering to those that travel and work at CDIA. Through your continued donations, we are able to provide this service as well as limited financial support to employees in need and offering meals and transportation to stranded passengers.
